About Dick Sebastian
Dick Sebastian, illustrator of “How To Ruin A Perfectly Good Marriage,” practiced oral and maxillofacial surgery for twenty-eight years. When he retired ten years ago, he, his wife Susie, and their three dogs left a quiet farm in Yellow Springs, Ohio to live in New York City’s West Village. In the company of his wife, two intrepid terriers and a neurotic mixed-breed, Dick has walked the streets of the city gathering material for his new vocation–cartooning. He will soon launch a line of greeting cards depicting the transformation of his family (people and dogs) from clueless Midwesterners into seasoned, and sometimes, snarky, New Yorkers. In 2006 Dick’s work was displayed at the Creativity and Parkinson’s Exhibit at the World Parkinson Congress, and it is the featured art for the month of August on the Creativity and PD 2007 calendar.
